This figure is probably the best know pieces I’ve carved through the years. While I’ve done quite a few of him I always make them a little different to make each piece unique. I also thought you might like to see this fella before he heads over to the paint table and how he finally turned out. . He’s wearing a yellow slicker, holding a lariat and standing in a pool of water. I used some really high gloss varnish to simulate water on the slicker and then epoxy resin to make the puddle. All the area of the figure out of the rain will be left flat.

Not much detail on him being as he’s wearing a raincoat but then that’s the way it is. I gave him a black hat which makes a strong contrast with the coat. He’s a pretty striking figure even though he’s a simple one.
