Here’s a great character, standing outside in the snow, wrapped in a very colorful buffalo robe. Why did I call him a ‘masked man’? Well, to make sure that I didn’t accidently rain down some falling snow on his face I wrapped it with some masking tape. I had also already varnished the figure just in case some snow landed on an area that could easily be washed off without damaging the figure. Everything is a process that must be followed to reach the affects you’re after!
I can’t remember the actual name of this piece but it is another early one. I’ve been emptying out a folder of earlier pieces a friend was kind enough to forward to me.
As always, your comments are welcome and appreciated. Please spread the word about my Blog to your fellow carvers. Some of the techniques I’ve used over the years might be useful to them too. Thanks.
