The Old Homestead

The Old Homestead

This is a log cabin scene I constructed as a gift to a local store who allowed me to show my work there.  You can see by the photo of me applying details that it was back in the 90’s.  A newly retired man with an idea!

I originally built the cabin with a solid back but later thought that doing so would waste a lot of space that could be filled with cabin details.  It wasn’t long before Granny appeared on the scene cooking a tasty supper for the old fella relaxing on the front porch. A goat, chickens, and a dog also occupy the scene along with Granny’s wash out on the clothesline.

I hope you like my little cabin set in the Ozark hills of eastern Oklahoma.  Comments welcome and appreciated.

I might be a little man in a big world but on our 30 acres I'm the one in charge when the wife's not around!
