Patterns

Patterns

I received a call yesterday evening from a new subscriber requesting where he could find patterns of carvings I’ve done.  Although you can find certain patterns on the Youtube videos on my channel I thought I would attach a few of them to this post.  He also mentioned that he was having trouble moving through my website on his phone.  I told him that the website was geared toward the computer where you can see the sites pages as they were meant to appear rather than on the phone or, even a pad.  The format on those two platforms are  reduced and jumbled which make moving back and forth within the website quite difficult sometimes.  So, if you can, use the computer for the full effect of webpages.  Just a suggestion.

He also ask about my old Out West Woodcarving Blog site.  Unfortunately, that has been discontinued.  Google, in their infinite wisdom and power, has a habit of shutting things down without any real notice and I was afraid they would eventually do that to their Blogspot application which is where my original Blog was posted.  They did that with the Picasa photograph platform and with that I lost access to all my original Gallery photos.  All that work…gone in an instant!  So, to prevent that from happening again I switched to another web host that now supports my new Out West Gallery website.  It was an expensive move where the old Blogsite was free.  I just received my yearly bill for the new one:  Yikes!  Over $500!  And that’s not including the internet license for the Out West Gallery Name.   Like everything, the prices just continue to rise!   However, I feel that the information offered through my Blog and Videos is worth the expense in helping others enjoy the craft as I do.

Anyway, I’ve attached a couple of patterns below which I hope will help.  Although there are measurements on some of these you can certainly enlarge or reduce them if you want.  Also, many of them are associated with Youtube videos.  Should you have any questions about them just drop a comment and I’ll try and give you an answer.

As always, your comments are welcome and appreciated.
