The Gambler – October 7, 2015

While searching through Ebay a few weeks back, I came across this little bronze bust by David Lemon.  The price seemed reasonable so I put in the wining bid.  We’ve collected two larger pieces by David and drove out to his studio in Ennis, Montana years back to meet him and pick up our first piece.  I’ve put a photo of that bronze below titled “Sweet Grass”.  It’s of a young Cheyenne gir.  He’s a great artist and has many videos on his Blog showing how he creates his work or just do an image search of “David Lemon, Artist” to see a large variety of his work over the years.    He’s helped me over the years improve my technics.  You should check him out.  Here’s his Blog:-

Once the little bronze arrived I thought I would use it as a guide to create my own version.  Clearly not as good as David’s but I think it’s a good effort.  I hope you like him.-

Comments welcome as always.

I might be a little man in a big world but on our 30 acres I'm the one in charge when the wife's not around!

  1. In all the years of googling and appreciating Lynn’s work, this has always been one of my favorites! Love seeing the more bureaucratic characters from this era!
