Another chuckwagon cook? This time whipping up a special treat for the boys….a couple of delicious apple pies. One is in the oven bubbling away and the other will soon to be baking. I put a paring knife in his hand as he’s just finished trimming the top crust and adding a few vent holes. I really like this piece. The details are great as is the attitude of the carving. That pie still in the dutch oven looks like you could really cut a piece. Even the flour that fell on his shoes, the pot of hot coffee….it’s all there.

Having baked quite a few pies off the back of a Chuckwagon myself I can attest that you haven’t tasted how great a pie can taste until you’ve had a piece baked out in the open. So….pour me another cup and how about another slice?
