Out Of The Chute!

Out Of The Chute!

I had originally planned on having this carving as the main piece to a Rodeo scene but after a great deal of thought I let it go to a determined collector.  It was a fun piece, showing a lot of action and a challenge to mounting it securely.  If you look close you can see I used the Bronc Rider’s hat as a means to hide the metal rod that runs up through the horses leg.  While that might look fragile it’s actually solid with the base.  The rider is also pinned to the horse with a metal rod.  A great carving.  Too bad the rider didn’t make the 8 second buzzer!

Comments welcome.

I might be a little man in a big world but on our 30 acres I'm the one in charge when the wife's not around!
