The Top Hand- Appaloosa

Lots of Top Hands around the ranch!  Again, the coloring on the horse it perfect.  Reminds me Matt Dillion’s ride.  I’ve found the secret to painting horses is to make sure your figure remains damp and to use your index finger to blend the colors together.  Sure, you can use a brush but that finger…

Here’s a fearsome looking Lawman.  Naturally, being as I named him “The Tin Star” that was what he had to wear.  I cut the star on his chest from a piece of galvanized ducting.  Soldering a small nail on the back of it, a small hole held it in place.  Looking back I really like…
